How to Make Burnt Butter: The Ultimate Carnivore Candy Recipe

Burnt butter (also known as browned butter) is really popular, and it’s used in many different recipes for its burnt, salty (if salted butter is used), caramel flavor. It is also makes a perfect, and very popular Carnivore candy! Well, it’s not really candy, but it’s the closest thing to candy for those of us on a carnivore diet. This is because it has that salty caramel flavor, and a chewy, caramel-like texture. It’s really pretty good!

There are plenty of ways to use burnt butter whether you’re on a carnivore diet, or not. It’s a favorite with chefs and cooks around the world. So apart from pouring it into molds, refrigerating it, and then eating it as it is, it can be used in sauces, blended into drinks, or used for baking and cooking. Carnivore Candy - Browned Butter Bites

Browned Butter Bites aka Carnivore Candy

Cook Time 15 minutes

Equipment

  • 1 Pan or Frying pan
  • 1 Whisk or wooden spoon

Ingredients
  

  • 250 grams butter salted or unsalted depending on preference

Instructions
 

  • Place butter into a pan
  • Heat until foaming, stirring constantly
  • Continue to stir until the butter browns and dark flecks form
  • Allow to cool and pour into molds
  • Place in the fridge to set

Notes

Make sure to stir constantly and don’t leave this unattended on the stove.
Burnt butter can be more or less burnt depending on taste and intended use. Some like it very burnt, others only just brown.
